When you switched ON your air-conditioner for awhile and it starts to turn OFF by itself and the indicator light starts blinking / flashing . This shows that your air-con is having some problem. Newer air-con nowadays had a self-troubleshoot ability. The numbers of blinking light actually shows what kind of problem your air-con is facing. Troubleshooting code table usually found by opening the cover of the indoor fan coil unit.

Advisable to contact a air-con technician and look into this matter.
